This young Australian collective, created in 2002 by choreographer Kate Champion, performer Roz Hervey and designer Geoff Cobham, has had growing success in Australia with works that blend dance, theatre, performance art and multimedia it questioning contemporary society. The Age I’m In, its most recent production, paints a composite and revealing portrait of Australia today. Based on interviews conducted with 80 (extra)ordinary Australians and performed by actors aged 15 to 80, the work explores themes such as intergenerational gaps, aging, loneliness and the complexity of human relationships. Dancers and actors, young and old, put across this multiplicity of voices using ingenious audiovisual technology in a unique symbiosis with dance. “You laugh, wince and could even weep at times for the poignancy of the points it makes.” – Sydney Morning Herald
