Quebec stage director François Racine offers up his version of one of Verdi’s popular masterpieces, a true collection of hits. Rigoletto, court jester to the corrupt Duke of Mantua, has been concealing his daughter Gilda from the public. But the young woman soon falls under the Duke’s spell and is abducted. The jester calls upon a hired assassin to fulfil a need for vengeance that will come back to curse him.
