Mamma Mia! the musical will be presented in Montreal from January 5th to the 10th, 2010. After a successful run on Broadway and around the world, Mamma Mia! wasl finally presented at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at the Place des Arts in January 2008.
This musical is composed of ABBA songs and was written by Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. It features songs such as Dancing Queen, Take A Chance On Me, Money, Money, Money and The Winner Takes It All.
The story takes place on a Greek island where a young girl is raised by her rebellious mother who refuses to reveal her the identity of her father. On her wedding day and without saying a word to her mother, the young girl invites 3 men who could potentially be him.
Since its opening in 1999, the show as attracted more than 27 million spectators and has grossed over 1.6 billion dollars in revenue. Mamma Mia! currently counts 10 productions for which 8 are permanent and 2 are on the road.
