The new production by Dominique Porte, Ulysse, nous et les sirènes, explores an unprecedented meeting between two separate musical worlds, inspired by two unique voices of jazz and opera. At the improbable crossing of these paths, the choreographer offers a veritable geography of the body in space, with four performers distilling an energy that forms a symbiosis between emotion and desire. This engaging work, unique in its writing and pace, deepens the themes of communication, identity and the perception of meanings, to music that is performed live.
