Ron Di Lauro Porgy and Bess as performed by Miles davis
Italian-Canadian trumpeter and bandleader Ron Di Lauro has been a core player on our national jazz scene for 30 years, with a CV bursting with prestigious collaborations (Ginette Reno, Gregory Charles, Dizzy Gillespie, Tony Bennett...) and large-scale projects with symphony orchestras. This year, he'll present Porgy and Bess as performed by Miles Davis, directed by Joe Muccioli, a big-band reinvention of Gershwin's celebrated musical comedy (including the immortal standards Summertime and I Loves You, Porgy). A very special evening!
