Kremerata Baltica / Gidon Kremer
Kremerata Baltica was created in 1997 by violinist Gidon Kremer who, in his words, offered himself a birthday present for his 50th year. The 27 members of the orchestra were all from the Baltic States of Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia and their world-class potential to become a great ensemble became immediately evident. Who better to act as the regions musical ambassador than Gidon Kremer and his Kremerata Baltica.
This outstanding group of musicians has a very particular style that reflects their founder and his terms of engagement to music. A performance of Kremerata Baltica is comparable to no other orchestra and is an opportunity that must be experienced.
