Orphée et Eurydice
A mythical couple destined for eternal suffering, humanity beset by torment, inner turmoil conveyed by undulating bodies, dancers emitting guttural noises and extraordinary sounds, a natural extension of movement driven by subterranean forces of life and death – Marie Chouinard choreographs her vision of the myth, with the collaboration of composer Louis Dufort. With twelve dancers. The work has been created in Roma in February 2008 and was co-presented by Danse Danse and FestivalTtransAmériques in May the same year.
