Special Needs Services

Drop-off zone at 1600 St. Urbain Street
It is easy for people with reduced mobility to access Place des Arts via a new drop-off zone that has been specially designed and configured to meet their needs, at the entrance to Place des Arts located at 1600 St. Urbain Street.

Whether arriving by car, by taxi, or by paratransit, people with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs can use both outdoor and indoor ramps to access the various concert halls.

Individuals requiring the use of a wheelchair must go to the central security desk located near the St. Urbain Street entrance, or to the entrance of the Maison symphonique for performances taking place in that venue. There are a limited number of wheelchairs available.

Reserved spaces in the indoor parking lot
Place des Arts has reserved spaces in its indoor parking lot for people with reduced mobility that possess an accessible parking permit. These spaces are located on the three levels of the P-1 lot, close to an elevator leading to the venue entrance level. Additional spaces are located in section P of the P 2 lot on the main foyer level leading to the concert halls.

Personalized service
During shows, a member of the ushering staff is designated to assist people with reduced mobility. Customers requiring assistance must present themselves at the entrance to the halls.

Buy tickets for people who use a wheelchair
Limited quantities of pre-selected seats in each of our concert halls are reserved for people in wheelchairs. Tickets for these seats can only be purchased at the Place des Arts box office or by telephone (514-842-2112 or toll-free at 1-866-842-2112) by mentioning that the ticket is for someone in a wheelchair. When purchasing your tickets, we ask you to refer the case of an electric wheelchair or not necessary because the space needed is different.

Aids for the hearing impaired
Every Hall is equipped with an audio system that enables hearing-impaired spectators to tune their FM receivers into the frequency of the system in order to receive the signal of the show. Members of the audience wishing to avail themselves of this service must bring their own FM receivers.

Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier: FM 90.9
Théâtre Maisonneuve: FM 89.9
Théâtre Jean-Duceppe: FM 107.9
Cinquième Salle FM 88.1
Studio-Théâtre FM 87.9

Booster seats for children
Place des Arts has booster seats for children. The seats are kept in the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier cloakroom and are transferred when required.
